Copenhagen, Denmark

The mission of the Nordic Club of Columbia, South Carolina is to bring together Scandinavians residing in the United States to promote better understanding between their native lands and their adopted country.

We also welcome non-Scandinavians or, as we like to say, "Scan-fans", who are interested in learning more about the unique and wonderful culture of that part of our world.

To further these objectives, the club sponsors social activities throughout the year which highlight some of the cultural aspects from our native Scandinavian countries.

Mid-Summer Party June 6, 2015
Stockholm, Sweden
This year's mid-summer festivities with lots of good food, good conversation, and the opportunity to see our Nordic friends and Scanfans again will take place on June 6 in Columbia.
We hope to offer freshly boiled craw-fish and shrimp along with a selection of Nordic inspired food items. The Nordic Club will provide the crawfish and shrimp, and drinks as usual, but we need your help with the side items and desserts, so we can enjoy food from the old countries.
The event will run from 4-8pm. Please respond to nordicclubsc@gmail.com if you want to participate, and tell us what food items you can bring. Salads, vegetables, potato salad, pasta, chips, fruits and desserts, along with your favorite Scandinavian dish, are welcome. Come help us celebrate the 12th anniversary of our club and enjoy great Scandinavian treats and refreshments.
Jazz Concert June 16, 2015
